First Time Stick Buyers:

What you should look for when purchasing your first lacrosse stick.

The first and most important, be sure to select a men's lacrosse stick, not a fiddle stick nor a woman's stick.

Also, be sure to buy a complete stick (includes a pre-strung head already attached to the shaft).

There are also position-specific sticks, i.e. defense (long pole) and goalie (oversized head). These are not recommended for new players.

Lastly, sticks can run from about $30.00 to $200.00. The least expensive stick is just fine for a beginner. When your player gets into the sport, you can always customize the shaft and head etc...

You need not go to specialized lacrosse store, Modells, Sports Authority and Dicks Sporting Goods all carry lacrosse gear.
